IAM MINISTRIES HOSTS
SARATOGA, CA
The defining theme of Dr. David Hawkins’ work is how to transcend the levels of consciousness as summarized in his Map of Consciousness and detailed in his book, Transcending the Levels of Consciousness.
This work and all other related expressions by Dr. Hawkins, provide a foundation for weekly conversations in support of members' consciousness development. The aim is to deepen our understandings of Dr. Hawkins's work by studying it directly and additionally by learning what we can from each other's practices and experiences. Meetings are generally consistent with suggested Guidelines for Study Groups and currently have this outline:
- A short opening ritual.
- Check-ins, including reflections on and experiences of the level of consciousness that was the topic of the prior meeting.
- A brief introduction, by a volunteer, to the level selected for the current meeting.
- A conversation, occupying the majority of the meeting time, in which we share with one another our questions, concerns, inspirations and experience with Dr. Hawkins' teachings about that level of consciousness.
- Selection of the level (possibly the same) for consideration at the next meeting.
- A short closing ritual.
Hawkins Study Group Meetings are held in the wonderful setting of IAM Ministries in Saratoga, CA, each Wednesday from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. All students of Dr. Hawkins are invited. IAM Ministries kindly provides the meeting space and the group is otherwise managed by its members. Optional donations of any affordable amount to help defray the costs of the meeting facilities are welcome. Email Jessie, letting her know a little about your interest and any questions you have.
