I am an Integrative Wellness Nurse. I have been a registered nurse since 1981 and earned my Masters Degree in Maternal-child nursing in 1984. Early in my career I worked with chronically ill children and adults. I have always had a passion for healthy living and knew intuitively that we have a lot more control over our health than we realize. 15 years ago I made a change from working with sick people in the hospital to helping people stay out through prevention. I am committed to teaching classes that are interactive and fun.
The one lifestyle habit that trumps all others is how we eat. I am a whole food, mostly plants, food advocate. I work with health care professionals, workplace wellness programs, parent groups and other organizations to incorporate evidence-based lifestyle education into their daily lives. Vital health is the springboard from which people can flourish, explore their own passions and make their dreams a reality.
At IAM Ministries, Bernadette conducts Dr. Sears L.E.A.N. Essentials/Start Workshops.
