The most visible symbol of feminine energy in the solar system is the Moon because it reflects the light from the sun, the pale orb in the night sky has come to represent a woman's reflective nature, her internalized response to the world.

- FOR OCTOBER 3rd:
- As the weather cools and Autumn displays her beautiful colors, it is time again for another gathering of Goddesses under the Full Moon of October.
- This month's gathering will give us an opportunity to get to know some of our Native American goddesses and share in their rituals that honor the Earth Mother.
- Since this October's Moon is also called Harvest Moon, we will celebrate the Earth Mother's bounty by having a "potluck" after our practice. By bringing a dish to share, we will also have to opportunity to get to know each other a little better.
- Lastly, depending on the weather, the pool may be warm enough for a wonderful late night swim. Yes, it may be cold getting out (which will be just a brief moment), but taking some time to float in the warm water and gaze at the moon has a lovely restorative affect. So, remember to bring a swimsuit and towel if you are interested.
- It may be a little cooler than what we have been privileged to have, so dressing in several light layers, warm socks and bringing a blanket are highly recommended.

• Our Hawkins Study Group of a few years ago has re-formed and meets each Wednesday evening.
