Patrick had studied Daoism extensively before beginning Taijiquan (Tai Chi) lessons with Arthur Lee in Santa Cruz, CA. In the last thirty years he has learned the long and simplified forms of Chen style, and the long form and fast set of Yang style. Other studies included Qigong, working with the body’s energy, and an integral part of Tai Chi. It was twenty years ago when at the urging of his teachers he began teaching, mainly in private classes but also 1st - 3rd graders at Portal School and for the past four years, adults at West Valley YMCA.
