We are pleased to welcome Chet Nagle, author of Iran Covenant, a well-received thriller about joint operations by Israel and the United States to put an end to Iran's nuclear weapons program.
Chet's recently released The Woolsorters' Plague, plunges into the shadow world of espionage and terrorism and penetrates the twisted minds of an Iranian terror master, his secret agents, and the men determined to catch them. Against a backdrop of Washington, D.C., Seals and spies are in a deadly race against terrorist’s intent on using germ weapons to kill everything that breathes in the capitol -- with a diabolically simple bacteriological warfare attack. The surprise ending reveals an American vulnerability that has been swept under the carpet by our government. Based on hard facts and the personal experience of Chet Nagle, these surprising revelations will make you wake up your congressman.
Chet graduated from the US Naval Academy and the Georgetown University Law School. He was a carrier pilot flying Grumman "Tracker" aircraft, chased Soviet submarines in the North Atlantic, and earned the Cuba Expeditionary Medal during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Later, as a navy research and development project officer in Washington, he managed a large, classified program named ASWEPS, and was directly instrumental in the invention of the Expendable Bathythermograph. This important device was developed by the Navy, was then patented by Sippican Corporation. It was later sold to Lockheed Martin.
After his military career, he joined the Pentagon's International Security Affairs department as a senior desk officer for the UK, Canada, and naval defense systems. That led to becoming an officer in Aeromaritime and life abroad for 12 years. During that time he traveled to over 70 countries, including Oman, Iran, Bashkortostan and other interesting places, working with the defense and intelligence agencies of the United States and other countries. For service in Oman during their victory over the Peoples Democratic Republic of Yemen he was awarded the Order of Oman, that nation’s highest honor. Among his private activities at that time, he created The Journal of Defense and Diplomacy, a geopolitical magazine that was read in 26 countries.
Leaving Aeromaritime, he consulted to industrial and financial interests for over 20 years through Intel Research Corporation. During that period, Nagle worked with companies involved in communications, high technology products, and general export issues. His clients included companies like Ashland Oil for high-energy fuels used in cruise missiles, Sperry Marine for navigation and communications, General Motors Allison Division for gas turbines, and GTE for telecoms in Europe and the Middle East. He was a director of Freedom Home Equity Partners, a California reverse mortgage company. Nagle also assisted Fuel Tech NA to list their stock on the NASDAQ exchange and, with European partners, was involved in real estate and construction in Atlanta. He now consults to US and foreign companies as a managing partner of Paladin Partners LLC.
